Special Agent
Special Agents are assigned to a variety of teams in the Investigation Division of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Some of the assignments are in the Major Crimes team, Internet Crimes Against Children team, and the Special Investigations Unit.
Minimum Requirements:
• at least twenty-one (21) years of age
• a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• two years of law enforcement experience with a governmental law enforcement agency
• must be a certified CLEET peace officer or eligible to receive certification through reciprocity
Annual Salary:
• Special Agent I: $68,122.50
• Special Agent II: $80,080.00
• Special Agent III: $93,587.00
o 5 years in grade: $96,394.61
o 10 years in grade: $99,286.45
o 15 years in grade: $102,265.05
Criminalists
Criminalists work in either the OSBI Forensic Science Center or in one of the regional laboratories.
Minimum Requirements:
• a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Annual Salary:
• Criminalist I: $68,122.50
• Criminalist II: $80,080.00
• Criminalist III: $93,587.00
o 5 years in grade: $96,394.61
o 10 years in grade: $99,286.45
o 15 years in grade: $102,265.05
Support Services
The OSBI has many positions providing both the public and the OSBI with a wide variety of services. There are full time, part time, and internships available.
